With the event commencing one week from now, Esportz Network asked ESL a few questions about the tournament.

What is ESL One Hamburg 2019 in the eyes of ESL?

“ESL One Hamburg represents our most prestigious and historically richest Dota 2 tournament. It is also this year’s biggest Dota 2 Festival in Europe. Our goal is to give players the opportunity to display their skills and acclaim the fame they deserve, by supplying the stage and the infrastructure for them to do so. Furthermore, ESL wants to give the best possible experience to the fans and bring them as close to the esport as possible. The Dota 2 fan base is among the most passionate in the esports industry and we realize that. ESL One Hamburg was established with this in mind and aims to give the Dota 2 community the top tier content it deserves.”

“What can people expect from the approaching Dota 2 event?”

“Dota 2 fans can expect three action-packed days of top tier Dota 2 competition for a prize pool of US$300,000.” ESL added, “ESL One Hamburg represents a place for Dota 2 fans from around the world to come together as a community and watch what they love most. With this year’s introduced artist alley, fans can dive further into the Dota 2 universe beyond the pro scene and meet more people alike. The artist alley will feature a cosplay contest, signing sessions with the participating teams as well as fun workshops.”

Without a doubt, ESL made it clear that ESL One Hamburg is an event that brings people closer to each other not just as a community but as a Dota 2 family. Fans and players alike can all gather together and enjoy the reason for the event itself—Dota 2.

ESL One Hamburg 2019 starts next week on Friday, October 25. Weekend tickets spanning the whole tournament sell for €49 per person (roughly $55).
