Season 1 Update
Starting with changes to weapons, Treyarch looks to better balance the many classes, focusing on tactical rifles. Adding to the change list, the Flak Jacket perk will be nerfed, lowering its numbers as players received too much protection. Black Ops Cold War also saw changes in multiplayer spawns to find better locations. The Groza assault rifle and Mac-10 SMG are now given to players for free.
As one of the biggest fan-favorite experiences, Call of Duty Zombies is bringing back 2-player splitscreen. The new title and its Zombies mode will see bug fixes and updates to improve the player experience. New modes like Gunfight and Prop Hunt enter the multiplayer mix at the start of Season 1 too.
Included in this update:
• Weapon tuning for multiple classes, including tactical rifles
• Perk tuning, including reducing Flak Jacket protection
• MP mode updates
• Spawn improvements
• Zombies fixes + updates, including 2-player splitscreen
• PC stability updates

Black Ops Cold War
Ever since its release date on November 13, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War made waves as the latest blockbuster title. Now launching Season 1, some even believe the game may become a best seller. If Treyarch continues to actively maintain the game and provide updates like the Season 1 patch notes, the community has a lot to look forward to.
The new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 1 update has its release date tonight at about 11 PM PST with official patch notes coming soon before. Although Treyarch announced the details yesterday and the download itself went live last night, tonight will be the big debut.
