Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 and more

Activision just released a Weekly Briefing that includes information on Black Ops Cold War Season 2, a new Throwback Moshpit game mode, and Stage 1 Week 2 of the Call of Duty League.

There’s a lot to unpack here, especially with the CDL’s return. Its opening weekend saw newcomers LA Thieves take first place and Paris Legion dive to the bottom. Content-wise for the game, it has been dry with only cosmetic items to satisfy players. The upcoming Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone should wake up Call of Duty players.

Black Ops Cold War Season 2

The capture of Adler by Stitch at the end of Season 1 left many players with a bitter taste. Now, most of Black Ops Cold War Season 2 focuses on tracking Adler through the Golden Triangle. However, Frank Woods and the strike team must go through many hardships to fulfill their mission.

On their way to rescuing Adler, they will face Kapono “Naga” Vang, a known trafficker from Nova 6. Players are already on the lookout for more clues in this new season’s trailer, which dropped alongside this Weekly Briefing. Season 2 will be available on Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone starting February 25.

Throwback Moshpit

To create some hype until Season 2, Activision released the Throwback Moshpit playlist. Now, players can play on Raid, Nuketown 84′, and Express in a variety of different game modes. It is always well-received by the community when Activision brings back classic maps.

For sniper adepts, the Snipers Only Moshpit is there for players on February 18. In this game mode, weapons and scorestreaks are restricted, and players must play with sniper rifles. In addition, the Gunfight Blueprints, which is a 2v2 game mode with random Weapon Blueprints, is also going to be available.

CDL Stage 1 Week 2

Kicking off on February 18, the second week of Call of Duty League promises some great matchups. Los Angeles Guerrilla versus Florida Mutineers, London Royal Ravens against New York Subliners, and a faceoff between Atlanta FaZe and the Toronto Ultra. Of course, fans can also expect a lot of the match between Seattle Surge and the LA Thieves. The full schedule of Stage 1 Week 2 can be seen on the website.
