CDL Live Audience
Shock hit esports and gaming fans today with the announcement on social media. A live audience at a LAN tournament from Call of Duty League was last seen over one year ago. Although Call of Duty brought back live esports tournaments recently including in its CDL Stage 4 Major, Stage 5 takes this up a notch. Taking place at Texas in Esports Stadium Arlington, from July 29 to August 1, staff and players will compete live as normal. But starting Saturday, July 31, fans with tickets can attend the tournament.
As for the CDL Stage 5 Major playoffs live event, the seating will be first come first serve. No restrictions are in place for those age 17 and up, though there are some for other ages. Fans of age 16 can attend without a parent but must provide a signed minor attendance permission form. Anyone between the age of 13 to 15 can attend with a parent or guardian and a signed minor attendance permission form. Finally, every fan at the venue must wear a mask in order to preserve health and safety guidelines.
“We are very excited to welcome fans back for the first time in 2021!” the league said. “Get your tickets to the Call of Duty League’s Major V tournament and watch in-person as teams head into battle for their last chance to clinch a spot in the top eight and secure their place in the Call of Duty League Playoffs.”
Call of Duty League Stage 5 Major
Esports Stadium Arlington plays host to many events like the Esports Awards and Smash Ultimatum. Now hosting the next big esports tournament in Call of Duty League, all 12 teams have more to compete for. Though Atlanta FaZe will definitely participate in Stage 5 Major playoffs thanks to their top spot with CDL points. The top four spots are held by Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire, Toronto Ultra, and New York Subliners. The exact schedule and participating teams are currently unconfirmed.
