CRL 2021
Regarding the event’s format, each of the Western and Eastern Conferences will hold 10 teams each. But teams must fight to become one of the 20 total teams. The two best teams from each conference in the last season’s League Play immediately qualify for this season. The other 16 spots in the peak of North American Collegiate Rocket League esports are filled from open qualifiers.
When it comes to League Play specifics, the format features double round-robin matches. Towards the end of the season, eight teams, four from each conference, qualify for playoffs. From there, the top two teams from each conference can attend the CRL Spring Championship. This event represents the biggest collegiate Rocket League esports tournament in Spring. The championship itself is a one-day event with an online single-elimination tournament featuring the best four teams.

Interested college players must be enrolled full-time with a GPA of at least 2.5. Though the competition is tough, the opportunity is there to bring glory and the bulk of a $75 thousand prize pool. Prizes vary in degree and the scholarship rewards are awarded to individual players.
Fans can start watching the best 2021 collegiate Rocket League esports action when CRL open qualifiers begin on March 14 at 9 AM PST. After that, League Play for the official Collegiate Rocket League starts on March 31. The peak of it all takes place May 6 at 5 PM PST for the CRL Spring Championship day.
Psyonix and its push for Rocket League in collegiate esports continue thanks to CRL 2021. Just last month, North America’s main RL tournament wrapped up its Fall 2020 season.
