Didychrislito, alias Christopher Holly, recently won the eMLS Cup 2021 for New York Football Club (NYFC) after a 6-4 victory over the defending FIFA esports champion on March 21.
No one can stop the rise of Didychrislito, who previously dominated eMLS Leagues Series One and Two. At this tournament, he was far from being the frontrunner, but that did not prevent him from performing well over everyone’s expectations.

The eMLS Cup 2021 Grand Final was a huge showdown between him and George Adamou, who was the reigning champion. While Didychrislito’s most important asset was his ability to adapt to his opponents, it also meant that the defending champion took the first game 3-2, with a decisive kick from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Unfortunately for Adamou, Didychrislito took full advantage of Kylian Mbappe’s explosiveness and finishing skills. After four minutes of play, the NYFC player got back to 3-3. The two exchanged blows for the major part of the game, before going towards Didychrislito. A clutch follow up and powerful kick from Mbappe sealed the deal for Christopher Holly, now eMLS Cup 2021’s champion.

His quarterfinal match against AlanAvi showcased utter domination, with one of the games resulting in a 11-3 score. This was the most one-sided match in the whole tournament. But even though he was an offensive machine, his fellow professional players praised him more for his defensive abilities.
In the eMLS Cup 2021 semifinals, XbLeU was a difficult obstacle to overcome. While the two players started to experience each other’s skill, the first game ended up in a 1-1 tie. However, Didychristlito went on to show the quickness of Marcus Rashford and scored three more goals. With this 4-1 score, he won his ticket to the grand finals for a showdown against the eMLS 2020 champion.
This is a feel-good story, for both Christopher Holly and the New York Football Club. The former now has in sight the next EA SPORTS FIFA 21 eWorld Cup and the upcoming North America Global Series Playoffs. Winning over $20 thousand in prizing, the young player can now focus on taking over the global FIFA esports scene.
