Midas Mode will stream live on the official MoonDuck Twitch Channel from Sept. 24 – Oct. 2.

What are Moonbucks?

Moonbucks is an alternative economy currency which adds a new angle to the classic game of Dota 2 and unique to the Midas Mode. Teams enter the tournament with a specific number of Moonbucks at the start.

The attending teams will use these Moonbucks to ban or pick heroes during the hero draft. Randoming a hero also provided additional Moonbucks in the first event.

The Midas Mode 2.0 organizers have not announced specific details for the 2019 tournament economy. Season one of the tournament allowed fans to suggest specific bounties for teams to complete during the course of the event. Teams can win Moonbucks on completing these bounties.

Tournament Format

Betway Midas Mode 2.0 has twelve participating teams: four North American, four European and four Chinese teams. The 12 teams will play online matches and the winners have the option to compete in a Showdown.

Creep Takeover, on the other hand, allows attendees to take over an entire creep-wave for a limited period of time.

Fans can purchase various visual perks which add to variety to the Dota 2 Map. These perks contribute towards the helping out the organizers and also add a unique element to the tournament. Fans’ participation in the map will come via The Chaotic Creep Takeover and The Roshan Takeover.
