EPIC League Season 3
EPIC League is back after such a short time with the previous event only a couple of months ago. This time around, the tournament is scheduled right before the PGL Singapore Major. This factor means more entertainment for fans and potential training time for teams. Identical to season two, EPIC League aims to provide “a great show for fans.”
The tournament arrives in March and will see two divisions competing. As usual, the group stage has a Swiss format where all 16 teams participate. EPIC League Season 3 group stage runs from March 2 to March 13. The top eight placing teams after the group stage will advance into the $85 thousand competitive division. But the bottom eight groups will participate in a $15 thousand division.
After that, advancing teams will proceed to the playoff stage from March 14 to March 21. All games in this stage will hold best-of-three matches except the finals, which will be best-of-five.
EPICENTER in Dota 2 Esports
Mark Averbukh, Epic Esports Events Product Director expressed his excitement for EPIC League Season 3. The Epic Esports team is also adamant about producing a great show for Dota 2 esports fans globally.
“We are pleased to introduce the third season of EPIC League, which will take place from March 2 to 21 and bring together 16 teams from the CIS and Europe, Averbukh said. “At the moment, we are at the final stage of negotiations with the participants and will gradually announce them on our platforms. I am sure that the upcoming tournament will be a great show for all Dota 2 fans.”
Revving up the professional scene again, Epic Esports Events and EPICENTER did a terrific job keeping things alive, especially during the pandemic. EPIC League paved the way for fans and players alike to better enjoy Dota 2 esports. Following the cancellations and suspensions of various tournaments in the DPC season, EPIC League was crucial to the scene. Now that it’s back and before the long-awaited DPC Major, fans can buckle up for a month of esports action to satiate Dota 2 esports cravings once more.
Although not all the details have been announced yet, fans can stay tuned as more information is released.
