The 2021 Esports Awards finally unveiled all of its winners, rewarding those who have worked hard towards an improvement of the esports industry as a whole.
The 38 different awards represent personalities, games, pro players, coaches, and even organizations. Amongst all of them, here are thirteen categories esports fans should keep an eye on.
Esports Awards 2021
Content Creator of the year

LCK Interviewer and founder of Korizon Esports Ashley Kang finally got her awards, after only being nominated in 2020.
Streamer of the year

The former League of Legends shoutcaster is one of the esports community’s favorite streamers, securing a ninth place on the Twitch leaderboard.
Personality of the year

Free fire has been everywhere lately, and nobru has been one of its leading figures. Since his MVP in 2019, the Brazilian player kept on increasing his fanbase.
Host of the year

Since 2017, League of Legends Worlds host sjokz has been racking up awards. The streak goes on as she wins another one, focused on rewarding the best esports host of 2021.
Esports Coach of the year

After such an immense run during the 2021 Overwatch League Playoffs with the Shanghai Dragons, it isn’t surprising to see Moon securing the trophy as head coach of the year.
Esports Controller Player of the year

With the Call of Duty League 2021 – Stage 1 player of the stage, Regular Season MVP, and a place in the team of the year, FaZe Simp continues to impress. His performances spoke for himself and won him the award.

In a 1 versus 4 situation, Virtue was at a serious advantage. However, taking on a smart position, the G2 Esports player managed to prevent his opponents from planting the bomb in time, thus winning the round for his team.
