A new event to grow collegiate esports arrives with Esports Combine. Taking place from October 16 to October 18, Combine celebrates esports, players, and academia through informative panels and player recruitment.
Esports Combine 2020
A three-day schedule of planned virtual workshops and panels occur throughout the event. The Combine also brings in the help of Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) to provide tips and understanding for the recruitment pipeline. Finally, Super League Gaming will help facilitate gaming competitions in the Combine Showcase each night.
Powered by GYO Score and Harena Data, this virtual college fair also helps collegiate teams send team offers and scholarships to players across North America. As one of the pillars of collegiate esports, Esports Combine hopes to grow the community and get as many students involved as possible.
According to a press release sent last week, the Combine holds a variety of panels and events.
- A video game skills combine for featured players to show off their abilities for
recruiters at the event
- Exhibition matches between top players across five different gaming titles featured on
- Informative panels and workshops moderated by esports industry experts and school
program leaders, including but not limited to:
- Gaming careers sessions
- The business and law of esports
- Learning how to be an esports pro
- Virtual reality and the bridge from traditional sport to esport
- Regional college fair session
- Recruiting sessions for schools and players to meet virtually

Esportz Network Sponsors Combine
As of this week, Esports Combine also shared that Esportz Network joins the event as an official partner. Specifically, Esportz Network is called as the official network partner for the collegiate event.
Alongside other sponsors like the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) and Super League Gaming, Esportz Network will participate in media coverage and speak at various panels.
“This event will be grand and will give incredible opportunities to the many athletes we have looking to join professional esports teams or get recruited by schools,” Bill Dever, Chief Strategy Officer at Harena Data said. “In addition to the skills challenges and competitions, this is a spectacle for all things esports and professionals will have plenty of chances to network, create deals, and celebrate the industry.”
As the latest expansion in a series of online events, Esports Combine creates opportunities for students and teams. The industry continues to quickly grow and that goes for the collegiate scene and academia too. Sports and esports must take advantage of developing their high school and collegiate programs to ensure a successful industry. Esports Combine does this and more through its speaker panels and exhibition matches to bolster networking.
Fans and students will want to participate in this esports event to get a jump in the industry. The virtual convention starts in less than four weeks and participants can pre-register.
