Evil Geniuses officially sponsored by Bud Light

Evil Geniuses and Bud Light are teaming up to raise a glass in 2021 through a new esports sponsorship. This gives fans new in-game content for the EG League of Legends team. “Evil Intercepts,” new episodic content between the two brands, will showcase EG’s banter, callouts and strategies while the squad is out on Summoner’s Rift.

The sponsorship begins Sunday, March 7, after the LCS weekend games. Evil Geniuses LCS jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen will join the Bud Light Lounge to talk League of Legends esports.

“Bud Light has always sought out new ways to engage sports fans and our new partnership with Evil Geniuses give us an opportunity to further engage LCS fans,” Joe Barnes, director of Bud Light sports marketing & head of esports and gaming said. “We look forward to bringing 21+ gaming fans even more unique gaming content on our Twitch channels which is perfect for both our established fanbase and for those just getting into esports.”

Evil Intercepts from Evil Geniuses

Fans can tune into Bud Light’s Twitch Channel to watch members of the team throughout the year. “Swim”, “FearItself”, deskillsage”, and “Sonicfox” are just a few of the names airing in Evil Intercepts. Real in-game comms, banter, and winning strategies from the Evil Geniuses League of Legends esports team can be heard on the show.

“Bud Light is renowned for their support of elite organizations across sports and entertainment, and the pairing with EG and our 21+ year history represents the latest continuation of this legacy that our fans and the community will celebrate,” Michael Fudzinski, chief revenue officer at Evil Geniuses said.

This new esports sponsorship works with two of the biggest brands in their respective industries. Evil Geniuses is a consistent top performer in the LCS, North American League of Legends esports. Meanwhile, Bud Light holds national branding value and often sponsors other esports teams and game streamers. Fans can soon stop by the Bud Light Lounge and watch Evil Intercepts for new content.
