Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 adds Bounty Hunters

Following the Galactus Event, Epic Games released new information as Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, Zero Point, goes live, including new features like bounties and characters like Mando and Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian.

In this new update, Fortnite’s developers gave players a new mechanic through bounty hunting. In addition, bounties blend in perfectly with iconic characters and weapons from different franchises, starting with Mando and Baby Yoda. Finally, the Fortnite lore made a deep impact on the island, making it a new experience for fans to wander around it.

Zero Point’s updates have changed the Fortnite Season 5 map. New biomes like an abandoned colosseum, a dense jungle, and a forest appeared on the famous map. Since the desert is the starting point of the events that unfolded, it is now covered by crystals, giving it a mysterious vibe.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 follows the footsteps of its predecessors and heavily relies on its characters and story. This time, fighters need to help Agent Jones fight characters from other dimensions that suddenly appeared on the Fortnite map following the event of The Loop. Jonesy already hired a few bounty hunters to reach this goal, including Mando and Grogu, alias Baby Yoda, from The Mandalorian.

Quests and bounties are now a live part of Fortnite’s gameplay. They range from killing specific enemies to simply walking around a part of the Fortnite Season 5 map. These additions to the game are not mandatory but award players with bars, a new type of currency. With it, players can request help, intelligence, upgrades, or new types of weapons. This new feature collides with the new bounty hunters, who will be the ones giving players missions. It is also possible to challenge these characters in an epic duel to win more loot.

Among these new Fortnite guns are the famous Mandalorian long-range sniper rifle or the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun. Epic Games also stated that new weapons should be coming as the Fortnite Chapter 2 season 5 advances, opening the doors to many other crossovers.

Still, players don’t have to complete these quests and bounties. They can fill their inventories with bars scattered across the map. This avoids situations when committing to a mission shifts attention away from killing enemies on the map. Quests will be viewable in the menu, around the same spots as challenges.

Additionally, recent rumors from online believe that Kratos from God of War will join the hunt soon. Likely entering as a bounty hunter, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 will probably add Kratos as a skin and character. As of this writing, this news is unconfirmed.
