Populated by 81 characters, fans have been vocal about their desire for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to include more diverse characters in the game. The majority of the arguments fall into the same theme that more diverse characters will make the game more entertaining.
Thousands of Super Smash Bro. Fans have suggested many characters who they want to join the Super Smash Bros. roster. The below four Super Smash Bros. characters are ones that fans believe can serve as the icing on the cake.
-
Waluigi
Waluigi is a character in the Mario franchise. He plays the role of Luigi’s arch-rival and accompanies Wario in spin-offs from the main Mario series. Wario’s purpose is often for the sake of causing mischief and problems for his franchise counterpart.
His appearance in the smash series is something players have long awaited. An underlying feeling among fans is that he is an essential part of the Smash Series. Many argue that no other character can represent the spin-offs better than him.
“I only have three words to prove my point,” one fan had to say. “Waluigi number one! In all seriousness, no other Mario Smash character represents the spin-offs. Waluigi can do just that. I see the appeal for Crash and Shadow, as they would help show off other franchises, but if we must get another Mario character, I choose Waluigi.”

Sora
Sora is a fictional character and the protagonist of Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts video game series. Introduced in the first Kingdom Hearts game “Islands” in 2002. A recent petition showed widespread support by voters choosing Sora as their pick to join the player base for the game. One petition to include Sora was signed by more than 1,000 people at the time of writing and is continuing to grow.
-
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot is the title character and main protagonist of the Crash series. A genetically enhanced mutant bandicoot, by the series’ main antagonist Doctor Neo Cortex. Eventually, Crash soon escaped from Cortex’s castle after a failed experiment in the “Cortex Vortex”. Thus, kicking off the story for the game.
The enthusiasm of people willing for Crash’s addition is that it has always being a rival game of Mario and has gained mass popularity over the past decade. The nature of Super Smash Bros. in doing cross-overs with characters of other games would increase the potential entertainment gained by playing many characters, including Crash on a single platform. Players and fans of the character have been voicing their support by tweeting #crashforsmash.

Doomguy
The Doomguy, created by id Software, is the protagonist in the Doom video game franchise. Also known as “The Marine”, “The Doom Slayer”, and many others, he is a space marine dressed in green combat armor who does not speak onscreen.
Doom is one of gaming’s most legendary series from the popularization of the first-person shooter genre to its impact in other areas. His popularity and widespread admiration in the gaming community only strengthens the argument of incorporation of this “Hell Walker” into Super Smash Bros.
While none of these characters have joined the roster in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it seems the desire to add them to the game is common among Smash players throughout the global community. Fingers crossed at least one will make the next roster.
