Professional esports brand FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) made major news today when the company announced it will not only rebrand its logo but also looks to enter CS:GO by acquiring GODSENT’s team.
We've upgraded our brand vision from now on for all our divisions and franchises. Our totem phoenix soars from oriental, engraved it's burning mark rapidly on the letters of FPX. The vision we want to share is the spirit of Faith, Passion, and Xpossibility. Fly Phoenix, Fly!#FPX pic.twitter.com/BqLYRRBhJY

FunPlus Phoenix Rebrand
The rebrand changes the iconic logos of the champion esports team to a simpler and sleek logo. Previously boasting a red phoenix with the FPX letters over it, the new logo is much cleaner. In a style similar to that of the ESPN logo, the red letters of FPX hold a figure of a phoenix trailing in the letters.

The rebranded company even shared that FunPlus Phoenix plans to acquire the GODSENT CS:GO roster. Although at first, it looked as if the reveal only came out from a fan’s investigation. Ryan, the founder of Rush B Media, shared a discovery about the acquisition. Petar Markovic, the current general manager of FPX’s CS:GO and VALORANT teams, responded to the discovery.
“We at FPX have been in deep talks with GODSENT in the past several months regarding the acquirement of their CSGO roster,” Petar stated. “The mutual agreement has finally been made, and right now we are waiting for the players to review and eventually sign their contracts.”
GODSENT’s recent success in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports scene shone through and long interested FunPlus Phoenix. Even at the recent DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe event, the team impressed fans when they defeated Astralis in the first match.

The new branding and logos can already be seen on FunPlus Phoenix’s sites and social media pages. Following other examples like Excel Esports and Mad Lions, the international esports organization looks to modernize its company and rebrand to a better image. Though FPX is most known for winning Worlds 2019 in League of Legends esports, strengthening the CS:GO team helps grow its international glory.
