GuardiaN released from NaVi and a free agent

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács, one of the best AWP players in CS:GO esports, announced yesterday that he is officially a free agent and no longer with NaVi.

GuardiaN Leaves NaVi

In a tweet posted early this morning, he stated that he officially became a free agent. GuardiaN also states that he’s “open to consider any offer and grind back my way to the top level events.” The displayed humbleness shows that he recognizes his recent lack of performance and wants to grow again. It should be noted that NaVi has yet to make an official post on his departure as of this writing, implying they may have left on bad terms.

The CS:GO superstar joined NaVi back in September 2019 after the Berlin Major. But when he joined, he couldn’t reproduce the same skill he showed before. Due to that, the Natus Vincere organization decided to bench the star AWPer just months after he joined. He spent the majority of 2020 inactive and benched on the team’s roster.

CS:GO Esports Career

The Slovak Republic player spent much of his CS:GO esports career with NaVi. With almost four years signed to them before, he left to join FaZe Clan in 2017 until coming back in late 2019. Unfortunately for him, his team performed well, and sometimes better, without him. Different CS:GO sites show consistent results and success for NaVi, despite not actively using GuardiaN. Less than one month ago, Natus Vincere dominated at the BLAST Premier Global Finals, beating Astralis to win the event.

Although he previously often made the top ten leaderboards on rankings from HLTV, that’s no longer the case. Fans wonder where he will go next since top teams know of his struggles. GuardiaN saw his fair share of problems in CS:GO esports but he’s ready to move on and grow. Stay tuned to see where the legendary AWPer moves next.
