Belgium based organization, Epsilon Esports, is reported to shut down soon due to accrued financial issues. Vie.gg, a partner of Epsilon Esports, reports that Epsilon is struggling to pay salaries as other esports companies rise with their expenses.
Epsilon Esports cannot keep up and is being forced to close down before debt starts to add up. This news comes shortly after the company released their CS:GO roster.
We have released our CSGO team. It was a pleasure to work with all of you, some for more then 2 years now! Best of luck guys! More news to follow. pic.twitter.com/d362thjEj4

Being in the industry for about eleven years, Epsilon participated in a variety of esports titles. Call of Duty, Rocket League, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are the main titles in their competitive scene. Though the brand has seldom been at the forefront of competition, their loss will be noticed.
Biggest accomplishments for Epsilon Esports are their championship wins. In 2013, they had a great performance in the Call of Duty Championship. Smite’s World Cup Championship was awarded to Epsilon Esports in 2016. And while their CS:GO team hasn’t been in the spotlight, big names like kioShiMa and shox were on their main roster.
Over the past couple years, public issues with Epsilon became commonplace. The SMITE team left the company in 2017 and the Call of Duty team followed suit in 2018.
Their CS:GO roster also encountered much controversy. Players didn’t receive salary for months, a match fixing scandal, and main roster Sf getting VAC banned for cheating were Epsilon’s biggest issues. Some believe the company’s days were limited and going under is no surprise.
But one Twitter post that has since been deleted says otherwise. Epsilon’s social media accounts are active and have yet to mention anything about the company closure. If anything, they’re rejecting the notion. Perhaps the company shut down is unconfirmed?
Summer is almost over and looking forward to get started in September with some new teams! What game would you like to see us pickup ?

If Epsilon Esports is rejecting these claims, this means that this information isn’t publicly released yet. A worse option is that most of the company is unaware of the upcoming closure. It’s more likely the information will be publicly disclosed at another time. Expect news about the status of Epsilon Esports soon.
