LA Thieves to move to Texas Team House

According to a job listing on the 100 Thieves website, the gaming and esports brand is looking to own a team house in Dallas, Texas for new Call of Duty League team LA Thieves.

Texas Team House

Although the news of a Dallas-based team house is not confirmed, it seems to be likely. The job listing comes from 100 Thieves’ official website and states the location as such. Why else would 100 Thieves want someone to “complete daily tasks for the team” if LA Thieves didn’t have a place in Texas? Despite having the Cash App Compound in Los Angeles, California, the team may want to focus on growing the team elsewhere.

Regarding the job listing, it asks for a part-time team manager to “support our General Manager and Coach.” Primary requirements for the job ask for the candidate to be friendly and customer service-oriented. This implies the team manager will frequently interact with the Call of Duty League players and LA Thieves staff.

The history of team houses saw varying degrees of success but has become more popular recently with content houses. Regardless of whether the team competes in esports, content creator houses became more popular in recent years. An example of this can be seen with NRG Esports, who announced its content house, the NRG Castle. One possibility for 100 Thieves’ sudden move to a Texas team house could be the chance to gain more traction through a rivalry between LA Thieves and Dallas Empire, the locals of the area and reigning Call of Duty League champion.

LA Thieves

Fans don’t know what lies in Texas to make it a priority, but clearly, 100 Thieves sees something. Ever since 100 Thieves revealed its return to Call of Duty esports with LA Thieves taking OpTic Gaming’s spot, CDL reached new levels of hype. The brand previously competed in Call of Duty and seeing the return excited fans. Although the move to a Texas team house is unprecedented, LA Thieves likely has a strategy for moving there.
