League of Legends Lead Gameplay Designer Mark Yetter revealed the League of Legends Patch 10.16 preview on Twitter. This was soon after the reveal of Yone too. Because it will be one of the last patches before the final Worlds update, Riot Games decided to implement many changes to diversify the meta. The list of changes is long but Yetter stated that most of them are minor changes. Nonetheless, in a game like LoL, minor changes can make a huge difference and turn a normal champion into a complete nightmare.
League of Legends Patch 10.16
Among the champions that will receive a buff is Evelynn. Riot Games definitely wants to turn her into a decent mid laner by upping her “lane flex” potential. Miss Fortune, who is a fan favorite during Season 10, will also be subject to a slight overhaul. Tristana, Fiora, Akali, and Neeko are on the target list for buffs. These characters are all currently not performing as well as possible and need some changes to make more impact.

Not 100% final, but getting close. We have a good meta, so a lot of small changes is our approach to diversify without destroying it. pic.twitter.com/lVHTXdTu10

On the other hand, Yasuo is already one of the best mid laners of the game but will still receive an additional buff to his base MR and AD ratios. He is probably the first character players will try after League of Legends Patch 10.16 releases.
Among other characters to receive buffs are Morgana, Veigar, Ziggs, Jax, Hecarim, Lucian, and Rakan.
Patch 10.16 Nerfs
The preview features quite a bit of nerfs, hitting some of the best champions in LoL. Bard was too strong of a support while Karthus was over buffed recently. Volibear, Ashe, Syndra, and Sett will also suffer a similar fate. They saw too much presence in League of Legends esports, so it is no surprise they also receive nerfs.
Furthermore, Nautilus, Kha’zix, Karma, and Nocturne will also get nerfed in League of Legends patch 10.16.
One system update to a rune nerf will go through. Sorcery rune Nimbus Cloak that currently gives 15 – 35% movement speed and ghosting after casting Summoner Spells will be decreased to 10 – 30%.
Now fans know the specific details of what the next update changes. From now to the official release of the League of Legends update, more may change since these aren’t final. Fans should also not forget that Riot Games is always looking for player feedback to improve the game’s experience, especially with Worlds coming.
