Wild Rift Preview Event
This preview event aims to showcase the new Riot Games title with an exciting event of celebrities. Starring a mix of streamers and actors, ten iconic people will star as the ten players for this event. As a premier mobile game, the event is players on the new iPhone 12 and Phone 12 Pro. This enables the use of Verizon’s 5G network for increased performance.
Participants in the event include celebrities and players like Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black, Claudio “Cesaro” Castagnoli, Chrissy Costanza, Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido, “FaZe Apex”, Joe Manganiello, William “Meteos “Hartman, Nate Hill, Rick Fox, and ZEDD. League of Legends players Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani will coach at the event. Caleb Simmons, James “Dash” Patterson, and Gabriella “LeTigress” Devia-Allen plan to commentate live.
This event helps commemorate Verizon’s multi-year partnership with Riot Games’ League of Legends Championship Series. And through that deal with the LCS, Verzion became its official network service provider. While showing off a powerful network, this Wild Rift event will display League of Legends on an all-new mobile platform.
League of Legends: Wild Rift
As one of the most awaited mobile games, Wild Rift was leaked back in August. Later on, Riot Games made the official announcement for the release last October and then dropped a gameplay reveal in May. Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg and Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent discussed some info on the game and Verizon network capabilities in an interview.
Wild Rift will see release in the U.S. during Spring 2021. Until then, interested fans need to get into the beta to play.
