Llama-Rama, a Fortnite and Rocket League crossover event

Rocket League social media announced Llama-Rama as the first event in the free to play update. This Fortnite collaboration brings the Battle Bus into Rocket League with a whole new set of challenges, items, and excitement.

The new event brings Rocket League Challenges for players to complete and earn items. This time, in-game events are different than usual. Players must go out of their way to Event Challenges to earn specific Event Items. Only after completing every challenge can someone earn the coveted Battle Bus vehicle.

Thanks to Rocket League being on Epic Games client, it’s easy for cross-game rewards. Players who participate in the Llama-Rama event can earn rewards in both Fortnite and Rocket League. Though the Fortnite rewards aren’t known yet, the Rocket League ones are. The biggest reward is the Battle Bus set, featuring the Battle Bus vehicle, Battle Balloon Antenna, and Battle Bus Wheels. Other in-game items include various designs showing off Fortnite’s Loot Llama.

Unsurprisingly, now that Rocket League is on the Epic Games client, Epic is creating collab events to promote it. Besides Llama-Rama, Fortnite social media announced a Party Royale concert to celebrate the news. To commemorate Rocket League going free to play, music artist Slushii from Rocket League Radio performs at the Concert Spotlight Series on September 26 at 5 PM EST.  Players who participate in the concert and play Rocket League after will earn free rewards.

After revealing the Rocket League free to play update at the end of Spring, Psyonix kept fans in suspense waiting for official dates. Now, with an official free to play release date for September 23, the game becomes more accessible than ever. Including new Rocket League ranks and competitive changes, the game hits the next stage this week.

Llama-Rama starts Saturday, September 26, and runs for until October 12. But fans don’t have long to ride their very own Fortnite Battle Bus into the arena. With the new Rocket League patch already live, there is lots of new content for players to choose from.
