NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett’s company invests in Triumph Esports

Kevin Garnett is the latest to join several former and current pro sports players such as Michael Jordan, Rick Fox, Alex Rodriguez, Steph Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, and many more investing in esports. Garnett’s company, Big Ticket Sports LLC, announces their initial investment in esports through Triumph Esports.

Triumph describes itself as a “full-service esports company” that currently includes Rivalcade, a company that produces competitive esports events and other branded content. Triumph Gaming also has player rosters currently competing in Overwatch, Teamfight Tactics, and Apex Legends.

“Our relationship with Triumph Esports is a natural fit as we look to showcase and elevate shared lifestyle experiences through competition, content, and live events,” said Garnett in a release. “Our vision is to create unique experiences that impact our fans across a variety of passion points.”

Triumph is still a young organization, having only been formed since late 2018. Their Overwatch roster currently play in the Overwatch Contenders, a league of competition that is under the main Overwatch League, having overcome the online competition to compete in it.

Triumph Gaming founder and Triumph Esports COO Jake Laumann said: “Having a world-class competitor like Kevin as a partner validates and reinforces our dedication to creating a platform for players and staff to learn what it takes to play, compete, and perform at the highest level.”

Keep an eye out for Triumph as they look to make their mark on the esports world in the coming future.
