New Smash Ultimate Fighter Reveal
Nintendo Director Masahiro Sakurai will present the new fighter live on stream. After his presentation and reveal of the new Smash Ultimate character, he will present a brief message.
Fans experienced lots of suspense waiting for this announcement. Since the last character announced was MinMin earlier this year, no updates came through since. Fans waited eagerly for more Smash content and it’s finally here. With theories all over the place on the identity of the new character, the timing of this is huge.
This comes after the Smash Ultimate community correctly guessed that DLC Fighter 7 approaches soon. Based on the timing of a 7-Eleven advertisement in Japan, fans guessed that the new character would come soon. In fact, the original guess was for the new character to be revealed this week. Nintendo scheduled maintenance on the game for Monday, September 28, at 9:30 PM PST. While the update only lasted an hour and a half, it was enough to drop an in-game character announcement.
Instead, Nintendo chose to set its own time for the new Smash Ultimate character reveal. Although the video presentation is only three minutes long, Sakurai will likely use the time after to present more on the Smash fighter. Esportz Network will cover the new Smash Ultimate character after the information drops in the morning.
