Post Malone Esports Investor
Growing up in Texas, the famed rapper isn’t new to gaming either. As a gamer himself, Austin Richard Post often streams on Twitch and expressed his love for gaming multiple times. Post Malone even worked with Twitch and HyperX on Hxcked, an online fan event, and is sponsored by HyperX.
“I grew up in Texas and I’ve been gaming my whole life, so this just really felt right,” Post Malone said. “I have always wanted to be a part of bringing gaming into the professional sports world so to be involved with what Envy is doing in my hometown feels like such a perfect fit.”

Envy Gaming’s Growth
Bringing on someone with such a large following is a strong move for Envy. Though the company isn’t struggling, consistent growth is important to show success. Mainstream media saw this when Forbes named Envy Gaming as one of esports’ most valuable companies.
“I first met Post at Posty Fest in Arlington last November,” Envy Gaming owner and chief gaming officer Mike Rufail said. “We had a very real chat about his love for video games. He’s a genuine gamer who brings a lot of effort and personality into everything he does. I couldn’t be happier to have him invest and build with us.”
Currently, Envy Gaming owns teams in multiple esports titles including Overwatch, Call of Duty, Smash Bros., Magic the Gathering, Halo, VALORANT, and Rocket League. The CS:GO squad, Team Envy, made waves in past years, spreading the brand name. More recently, the brand entered the franchised leagues of CDL and OWL. Envy also made esports news recently when naming Adam Rymer as CEO and Mike Rufail switched from CEO to Chief Gaming Officer.
Envy Gaming is making the right moves by continuing to gain large investors and investments. Post Malone and his fans are excited to finally see his official entry into esports. Industry fans will want to keep their eyes open to see what the next move will be.
