PUBG Console League Season 9

For the first time on console starting March 5, esports fans get to see top PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG) teams across North American compete on the big stage. PUBG Console League (PCL) hosted eight seasons of console-based leagues and recently revealed that season 9 will be officially backed by PUBG Corporation.

PUBG Console League

The league consists of 64 teams with half of them qualifying from previous events. The remaining 32 teams registered after January 3. These teams get split into four groups as they battle it out in stage 1. Match days are divided into two weeks per group taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

Once stage 1 finishes, only 32 teams will remain in the competition. At this point, the teams once again split into groups. Each group is paired against other groups for two rounds. This phase begins May 8 and runs throughout the month finishing June 13. Qualifying for the finals begins in this stage as the top eight overall teams move onto the finals. The rest endure another three weeks of play in the PUBG Console League.

PCL 2021

After this, PCL is down to 24 teams left fighting for a spot in the finals and those remaining battle it out six more times. PUBG Console League Stage 3 runs from June 25 to July 11. Following this last chance qualifier stage, the top eight teams move onto finals.

Stage 4 of PUBG Console League Season 9 picks back up on July 23 and runs until August 1, where a winning team is crowned. This stage features the top 16 teams who battle for the $10 thousand prize pool where the tournament winner will take home $5 thousand. PUBG console esports players leading the pack in kills and damage will also earn a bonus payout.
