Two years ago, Tespa and ASUS Republic of Gamers partnered up to bring the best hardware to the collegiate esports scene. This year, both companies return to join forces. ASUS ROG will provide exclusive PCs, monitors, and routers for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Tespa, an organization owned directly by Blizzard Entertainment, is a network of students trying to change the world of collegiate esports. Tespa currently controls and manages many collegiate esports tournaments throughout the academic year. They manage tournaments for games such as Overwatch, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft ll.

ASUS Republic of Gamers has become the brand enthusiasts search for. ROG’s sole purpose is to deliver the most innovative and effective hardware components for gamers. They produce and distribute PC gaming technology recognized by worldwide media. ROG takes an active part in worldwide gaming events, developing the industry through sponsoring major events like PAX or Dreamhack.

Each academic year, Tespa hosts a number of collegiate events that bring in thousands of competitors and spectators. With Tespa and Republic of Gamers partnering up again this upcoming academic year, both Tespa members and chapters will receive benefits. In 2017, ROG and Tespa partnered up in order to bring premium laptops, desktops, monitors, and other hardware necessities to universities and students. They supported over 1,000 campus events and collegiate tournaments. They also fund and award thousands of dollars each year in the form of scholarship funds and gaming gear.

“We are thrilled to continue working with ASUS Republic of Gamers for the third consecutive year,” said Josh Cella, Head of Global Partnerships at Activision Blizzard Esports. “ASUS ROG have been a vital partner in supporting Tespa’s goal of cultivating student communities centered around gaming, and continually provide best-in-class support for our chapters and players.”

Overall, the partnership between Tespa and the Republic of Gamers opens up many opportunities for collegiate gamers and programs to thrive, positively impacting the esports industry. This partnership allows schools and gaming communities all around North America to have the opportunity to use innovative PC gear. Collegiate esports has a lot to look forward to in the future thanks to this partnership.
