The Peeps Wins Week 3
Esports scenes everywhere finally see action as 2021 starts and Rocket League is no exception. The continuation of RLCS X The Grid Overtime saw unbelievable action between the best Rocket League esports teams. 16 top teams competed in The Grid Overtime Week 3 to win the bulk of the $15 thousand prize pool. Day 1 hosted a round-robin event to properly place the teams while Day 2 held the actual single-elimination playoffs event.
The finals with The Peeps against Team Envy saw the most hype. The best of seven match began with The Peeps blazing through and netting goals. But as expected of a top competitor, Envy brought the competition back. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough and they lost 2-4.
Version1 and Rogue came in third and fourth place, each winning $2 thousand. Second place Team Envy won $3.5 thousand while The Peeps comes home with $7.5 thousand. The finals series even held a new record with one game holding the third-longest overtime at over 7 minutes.
GRID CHAMPS BABY!!!!! I LOVE YOU BOYS @AyyJayyRL @AllushinRL @ExplosiveGyro
Unfortunately since I was sick I didn't record any of it but I swear it was hype?

RLCS X The Grid Overtime
This event was a competitive one where all sorts of teams surprised fans. In the actual playoffs, every Rocket League esports team went hard to become a winner. In fact, all the teams in the quarterfinals and semifinals brought the series all the way to its full length. But even with so many close games and series, only Team Envy and The Peeps made it to the finals. Both semifinal matches between Rogue vs The Peeps and Team Envy and Version1 were extremely close. The Peeps even hit overtime in the struggle to beat Rogue but still won it all.
Though the next RLCS X Regional Major is coming soon, participants needed the points and prizes here. This victory at RLCS X The Grid Overtime Week 3 was essential for help at the next regional. The Peeps wins the most here but Team Envy also came out successful. Now with a new winner for North American Rocket League esports, teams can’t wait to see who wins next.
