Toronto Ultra roster finalized for 2021 CDL season

Call of Duty League team Toronto Ultra announced its final roster to compete in the 2021 CDL season.

Toronto Ultra Roster

The new roster consists of  Ben “Bance” Bance, Cameron “Cammy” McKilligan, Tobias “CleanX” Jønsson, and Anthony “Methodz” Zinni. It looks as if management removed starter Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo and five subs from the team to meet the new CDL requirements. These six players left the team in early September for Call of Duty Rostermania.

Though Toronto performed better than others, the team’s match placement was still 11 – 13. 2020’s Toronto Ultra roster was in the lower half of the 12 CDL teams, placing seventh in the standings. At 120 CDL points, the team was tied with London Royal Ravens and Minnesota Røkkr, doomed to never see the finals. But with a different squad lined up, 2021 may far differently.

Call of Duty League

These Toronto Ultra roster changes come after Activision revealed mandatory changes to the 2021 season. Specifically, the format changes from 5-players to 4-players. Unfortunately, this meant that every single team needed to drop at least one player.

For some Call of Duty League teams, plans already existed to remove teams. Seattle Surge dropped nearly the entire roster after the CDL Championship last month. Even CoD Champion Dallas Empire removed star James “Clayster” Eubanks from the team.

Since the 2021 season takes place with Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, players are adjusting as fast as possible. The multiplayer reveal one month ago showed new features for the game. To stay one step ahead, players must stay on top of it next season to become the 2021 Call of Duty League champion. Only time will tell which team makes the next move after the Toronto Ultra roster change.
