VALORANT Episode 3 Act 1 finally launches today but the Patch 3.0 notes are massive and update, nerf, and buff every agent and gun on top of adding KAY/O and account leveling.
VALORANT Episode 3 Patch 3.0 Notes
Arguably the biggest patch notes in VALORANT since launch, the Patch 3.0 notes adjust every agent and almost every gun. Riot Games wanted to increase the value in accurate gunplay and expand the tactical sandbox. Co-Lead Designers Max Grossman and Sal Garozzo stated that these massive changes to the economy will shift the whole game. Riot also added account leveling, letting players show their experience separate from a ranking system.
When it comes to universal changes in VALORANT Episode 3, agent signature abilities now only provide one charge per round instead of stockpiling like before. Ability charges gained from cooldowns are temporary and don’t transfer to the next round. One of the community’s most-wanted changes enters as visibility returns sooner at the end of a flashbang. Common complaints of running and gunning also received tuning so those situations will occur less. Finally, the new VALORANT agent and initiator KAY/O joins the roster today.
KAY/O is a machine of war built for a single purpose: neutralizing radiants. His power to suppress enemy abilities cripples his opponents' capacity to fight back, securing him and his allies the ultimate edge. https://t.co/6islDkzcIJ pic.twitter.com/PbUE39JFCD

Agent and Weapon Changes
In order to achieve a more dynamic sandbox game, the VALORANT Episode 3 Patch 3.0 notes adjust costs, cooldowns, and ultimate costs on every single agent. All this will go towards balancing the game and forcing players to rethink resource usage.
In terms of buffs and nerfs, the VALORANT Episode 3 updates to both agents and weapons can be simplified. Astra, Brimstone, Jett, Killjoy, Omen, Phoenix, Raze, Reyna, Sage, Sova, Viper, Yoru, the Judge, and the Guardian all got nerfs. As for what’s buffed in the new VALORANT update Breach, Cypher, Skye, the Frenzy, the Bulldog, the Shorty, the Stinger, the Bucky, the Marshall, the Ares, and the Operator received overall improvements.

Once again, Riot Games looks to redo VALORANT and Episode 3 Act 1 brings many updates in the Patch 3.0 notes. The agent changes are especially detailed and players will want to read the official patch notes for all the details. VALORANT esports and VCT will certainly see large impacts from the new VALORANT Episode. To celebrate the game’s one-year anniversary, Riot even added a free battle pass for everyone. Everything is already live in-game so players, fans, and esports teams should jump in quickly to relearn the game.
