VALORANT Ignition Series consists of tournaments formed in association with event organizers, teams, players, and content creators worldwide. Officially announced by Riot Games, the main focus is to build the VALORANT competitive network.
All the events range from open tournaments to invitationals featuring amateur competitors with VALORANT pros. So far, two scheduled events have already occurred. The G2 Esports VALORANT Invitational and RAGE VALORANT Japan Invitational happened last weekend.
G2 Esports VALORANT Invitational Championship
This three-day event featured eight teams with the finals held on June 19. Team Mixwell overcame the other competitors to emerge the winner. They claimed cash worth $11,210, while the runners-up Team Draken pocketed $5,605 from the $16,815 prize pool.
RAGE VALORANT Japan Invitational
RAGE, Japan’s biggest esports event, hosted the VALORANT tournament on June 20 and June 21. The single-elimination tournament invited 16 teams with an established reputation in popularity and gameplay.
Absolute JUPITER finished as RAGE VALORANT winners in the grand finals after triumphing over Lag Gaming. Eventually, they claimed a cash prize of $4,680.
North Africa VALORANT Invitational
This will be the first time Empire Play hosts eight of the best North African teams competing against each other during this event. The invitational begins on June 26 at 5 PM GMT and lasts three days.
The prize pool money is $1,750 distributed among the top three teams. Although fans are unsure what to expect since it is a new tournament in the region they hope to be thrilled with the tournament.
North America’s First Ignition Series
Hosts Nerd Street Gamers (NSG) and T1’s VALORANT team are proud to announce North America’s first event. As part of Riot Games’ VALORANT Ignition Series, the showdown will take place from June 26 to June 28. Sixteen teams will participate for a prize pool of $50 thousand with first place pocketing $16 thousand.
The tournament offers an unusual opportunity for ambitious pro gamers and amateurs to compete against the leading pros and brands. Two play-in qualifiers were scheduled on June 20 and June 21 but only four teams compete for a spot in the 16-team event.
GGTech VALORANT Invitational
This event features 16 participating teams from both North and South Latin America with eight teams from each region. Organizers will broadcast the Latin America South final tournament on July 2 while the Northern tournament happens on July 3.
VALORANT Pacific Open Finals
VALORANT Pacific Open takes place on July 3 at the Cyber Games Arena. Countries hosting the qualifiers include Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Macau, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Winners from each qualifier will progress to the VALORANT Pacific Open Finals in August.
Fans should prepare to cheer and support their favorite teams across the different regions. The VALORANT Ignition Series represents nations everywhere but not every team will make it through. Players and fans are excited about what Riot Games created and the results of these events.
