While the VALORANT Champions Tour NA revealed its eight esports teams, Riot Games focused on bringing a brand new experience to the game. In addition, Patch 2.08 is the first to not add an Agent and instead adds Breeze. The other changes, even though mostly related to quality-of-life, are more than welcome.
Breeze Map
Set on an island surrounded by water and forest, Breeze brings some fresh air to the current map pool. Its bright colors and accent on nature will adds something different to what is already available. In addition, Riot Games made this map with longe-ranged fights in mind, which means even more open areas.

In order for VALORANT fans to try the new map, Riot Games offers a Breeze-only Unrated queue. It will be available for two weeks, in Deathmatch, Spike Rush, Escalation, and Custom Games. After that, the new map enters Competitive and standard Unrated queues. Players should try out Breeze within the next two weeks to prepare for ranked.
VALORANT Patch 2.08
Another change that the VALORANT esports scene looked for is the addition of coach slots in Tournament Mode. To make it balanced, they can only see their own team and can’t use any kind of signals. However, they still have a line of communication with the ones in charge of organizing said tournaments.
Agents like Brimstone, Killjoy, Astra, and Killjoy all saw bug fixes in VALORANT Patch 2.08. For example, Viper got her Toxic Screen functioning normally after teleporting on Bind. On the other hand, Astra and Brimstone players had it easy with smoke bugs and could become immune to flashes.
As a side note, players finally get a message after reporting players, which creates satisfaction. The reporter feedback isn’t much, but the feeling of accomplishment for helping the community can lead to more proper reporting.
