VALORANT Yoru
After being teased multiple times, VALORANT Agent 14 is finally being shown off. Riot Games invited many different esports and gaming content creators to try out Yoru and show him off. Today, all these gamers are coming out with their own content to show off the new sneaky agent.
Yoru is the first VALORANT agent to truly have his identity around confusion and stealth. His different abilities are great for giving false intel to enemies while making different moves. As a character who abuses sound, he’s the first of his kind to enter the game.

Yoru Abilities
His C ability is Fakeout, which throws out small footstep markers on the floor. Since they’re on the floor, players won’t see them if they’re too close or not paying attention. Fakeout is great for confusing enemies with audio cues, especially when paired with a Phoenix ultimate. It costs 100 credits and holds two charges.
“Equip an echo that mimics footsteps when activated FIRE to activate and send the echo forward. ALT FIRE to place an echo in place. USE the inactive echo to send it forward.”
Q is Blindside, which is another flash in the game. New VALORANT agent Yoru can throw out Q to flash enemies after the projectile hits a surface. That means if the player misses and Blindside doesn’t collide with anything, it never activates. It costs 200 credits and holds two charges.
“EQUIP to rip an unstable dimensional fragment from reality. FIRE to throw the fragment, activating a flash that winds up once it collides with a hard surface in the world.”
Yoru’s E is Gatecrash, which is a teleportation ability. This ability lets him teleport to different locations, so long as he has line of sight while using it. Although it still makes noise when teleporting, Gatecrash is great for mobility or scouting areas. This ability is free and Yoru gets one charge per round, though it resets after getting two kills.
“EQUIP to harness a rift tether. FIRE to send the tether out moving forward. ALT FIRE to place a tether in place. ACTIVATE to teleport to the tether’s location.”
Ultimate – Dimensional Drift
Finally, Yoru’s ultimate is one of VALORANT’s strongest new abilities. Taking his theme into account, Yoru becomes invulnerable and invisible while he moves around, repositing and confusing enemies. The 7 point ultimate has a short duration but lasts long enough for him to completely cross one site or travel a third of a map.
“EQUIP a mask that can see between dimensions. FIRE to drift into Yoru’s dimension, unable to be affected or seen by enemies from the outside.”
Previously Riot teased Yoru as they gave out info on the 2020 successes. “The year will tear open with a duelist for all you “lurkers” out there, who will keep you on your toes around which angles are truly safe.” Riot Games said.
The rift making duelist comes with VALORANT Episode 2 Act 1 in a few days. Fans can soon try out Yoru, the new VALORANT agent when Episode 2 goes live on January 12.
