VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) finally sees its first Masters tournament this week after weeks of exciting esports matches, including this weekend’s results in Challengers. Equivalent to a major in CS:GO or Call of Duty, VCT Masters pits the best teams from Challengers against each other. And after FaZe Clan dominated VALORANT esports this weekend, the competition is truly a surprise.

VALORANT Champions Tour Masters
Nine different regions will participate over two weeks in the biggest VALORANT esports tournament yet. The exact prize pool distribution for the Masters event is unknown but given that this recent Challengers event held a $50 thousand prize pool, fans can expect even more.
VALORANT Champions Tour Masters brings all sorts of surprises as esports teams compete around the world. In fact, Latin America already began its competition today. North America (NA) starts its VCT Masters event on Thursday, March 11, at 12:00 PM PST. Finals take place at that same time on Sunday, March 21. With the exception of Latin America, the other eight regions host their VCT Masters grand finals on March 21.
And so it begins… Our first #VALORANTMasters events start today over at @VALORANTLATAM! Any predictions? ?@LDMEsports or @EsportsReven?@KaizenEsports_ or @InFinitye_sport? https://t.co/M70rFH6bMJ

VCT Challengers
Those who performed well in this weekend’s Challengers event got their seeding in Masters. In fact, throughout every single esports match this weekend, the FaZe Clan VALORANT team only dropped one map. That one map was lost to NRG, who defeated First Strike winner 100 Thieves earlier in the upper bracket. Besides NRG, FaZe made every match-up look easy. After 100 Thieves came back from the lower bracket, they fell apart. FaZe Clan beat the thieves 3-0 in the VCT Stage 1 Challengers 3 grand finals.
The next tier of VALORANT esports is beginning and fans can’t wait to see who comes out on top. Despite the powerhouse rosters in top teams like T1, Fnatic, OG, G2 Esports, TSM, and Cloud9, they didn’t make it to VCT Masters. It shows that anything is possible in the VALORANT Champions Tour.
