Warzone Season 6 adds fast travel Metro subway

For the first time in Call of Duty Warzone, Activision will introduce fast travel through the subway in Season 6. Interestingly, this feature comes through the recent subway system on the map.

Warzone Subway Fast Travel

Each Warzone match begins with a set number of open Metro stations. Boasting the exact same layout, every Metro station contains items, Supply Boxes, and Contracts. In order to avoid campers and force fair environments, Activision says “the subway will not move at all if there is any conflict on board, or between the train and the platform…” Because the subway won’t move if there’s fighting, players can use Metro stations as safe havens. It will also help complete contracts and outrun the gas circle faster.

Call of Duty characters Farah and Nikolai bring the Verdansk Subway System, aka the Metro, to Verdansk. Last season, it was introduced as a form of transportation but wasn’t used fully. After the introduction of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Activision makes waves with this news.

Call of Duty Reshapes Battle Royale

Call of Duty Warzone dramatically changes the field for players with the Season 6 subway. Activision saw that the Warzone train system struggled to fulfill its purpose and ended up as another battleground rather than travel. Changing it to a map of fast travel stations completely solves the transportation problem.

One of the major flaws of the battle royale genre of videogames is how large the map is. Although it’s large and provides lots of room for so many players to explore, sometimes the map is too big. Warzone sees one of those problems where cross-map travel is difficult, even with vehicles. Introducing this subway will change how players must navigate the map. Knowing there are more options to move around will change strategies for both regular players and Call of Duty esports.

Activision is making a bold move with this addition. The game developer is removing one of the novelties of a battle royale to change the field. Players and pros alike can’t wait to see what Call of Duty Warzone Season 6 will be like with its fast travel Subway.
